**Software Development Manager**

**Hereford (Hybrid Working)**

**£60,000 base + benefits**

Our client are one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK and are experts in the financial services arena and have also successfully diversified into a number of other sectors. They are now recruiting for an experienced Development Lead tojoin their Research and Development team.

**Within this role you will**:

- Assist in defining the Development team's technical strategy and advising on product roadmaps and migration plans to achieve strategic goals
- Identify technical and soft skills gaps in the staff reporting into this role, and to ensure that all team members achieve a standard that is expected of them
- Proactively offer guidance and support to colleagues across the business to ensure that best practice is maintained.
- Drive and enhance the deployment process on all environments.
- Responsible for work quality, ensuring it meets the technical standards for all development.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical specifications to a variety of stakeholders throughout the business
- Experience in coaching & mentoring Junior and Mid Developers to ensure quality code is produced
- Experience in undertaking Personal Development plans and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner to consistently 'grow our own’
- Demonstrable experience in software development (.NET strongly recommended) as a professional Software Engineer & experience leading a development team.
- Both Agile and waterfall methodology exposure.
- Extensive proven experience of the Microsoft.Net framework, with particular focus on C#.
- Database development experience
- Experience of working within an agile development environment
- Experience of Web Services and Web Development with a focus on Microsoft technology stack
- Experience of working in a fast paced, demanding environment with changing priorities
- Ideally a background in a financial services environment although this is not essential
