IKEA Milton Keynes are looking to welcome a new Visual Merchandising & Activities Co-worker to their Design team

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

About You

We are looking for someone with passion about home furnishings and have customer at heart in everything they do.

You will have the following skills/experience:

- Creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Actively seeking new and improved ways of working simply and cost-efficiently.
- Experience in previous retail Visual Merchandising environment preferred but not essential. Students that have completed a degree are welcome to apply.
- Degree/background in Design (Visual Merchandising, Industrial, Furniture, Interior, Product, Art, Textiles, Fashion or similar)
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino or similar
- Openness to change and flexibility in varying fast paced environment
- Work well and collaborative in their approach within team and other functions
- Positive communication style using influencing skills and situational leadership

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Provide inspiring home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products that will support a convenient shopping experience & improve people’s life at home.
- Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
- Stay updated on trends in home furnishing & retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.
