Job role: Delegated Authority Technician

**Main Purpose**:
To work within the Delegated Underwriting team providing assurance to the business that all forms of delegated underwriting are being underwritten, registered, processed, managed and audited in accordance with the agreed Delegated Underwriting and auditpolicies.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Pre & post contract checks for lead and follow coverholders, binders, master policies, consortiums and lines lips to ensure in line with Delegated Underwriting Management policy.
- Oversee ongoing due diligence of coverholders, brokers - including chasing brokers and Coverholders.
- Draft direct dealing contracts & any endorsements as and when required/requested.
- Interaction with Atlas and DCOM.
- Peer Review of contract checks as appropriate.
- Undertake Binder Reviews in line with current policy.
- Assist with the collation of the CHMC pack where required.
- Responding to Xchanging queries on direct business.
- Assessment of coverholder policy and procedures when required.
- Assist in the management of the internal process manual for technical area of Delegated Underwriting.
- Ensure annual compliance administration is kept up to date on ATLAS.
- Provide assistance to underwriters as required in relation to other aspects of delegated underwriting including technical advice, coverholder approval and binding authority audit reviews.
- Scoping and review of audits for existing coverholders under the oversight of the DUM Audit team.
- Organise the workflow management system / DUM inboxes and allocate it to the appropriate technician.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience of delegated authority practices, preferably at Lloyd's
- General insurance knowledge
- Experience of drafting and checking binding authority contracts
- LLMIT pass as minimum or part qualified CII (minimum Certificate level) an advantage
- Numerate and IT literate (preferably experience in Atlas, DCOM and Watertrace)
