**Job Summary**
**You will deliver face to face group sessions from various sites (Probation Service, Maximus Office or community venues) across Liverpool, Bootle, Knowsley, St Helen’s and Birkenhead. You will need to be flexible to revert to online delivery if required(e.g. due to COVID restrictions/guidance).**
**Key Duties**
- Train, motivate, mentor and support learners, assisting them to develop personal and social skills to better prepare them for work and independence
- Monitor learners to ensure they remain engaged in the programme and that they are progressing. To promote further groupwork sessions as and when required
- Plan lessons effectively and ensure that activities are innovative and flexible to individual learners, and that learner support is effectively reviewed, implemented, and evaluated (where required) throughout the learner’s journey
- Promote, and deliver inclusive training, including the promotion of equality and diversity in all lessons
- Manage group dynamics, dealing with any challenging behaviour
- Deliver outstanding teaching and learning to learners
- Maintain learner records accurately, recording attendance, engagement and behaviour
- Adhere to all statutory responsibilities and ensure Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Prevent policies and procedures are followed at all times
- Undertake and respond to learner and stakeholder feedback; contributing to Maximus Training’s cycle of quality improvement
- Take part in standardisation and team meetings and undertake continuing professional development as required
- Maintain high standards of quality and compliance and complete all contractual paperwork and documentation as required.
**Who we are looking for**
- Level 3 (or above) Award in Education and Training
- English and Maths to at least Functional Skills level 2
- Experience of working with complex individuals
- Experience of developing and delivering a varied programme of interactive sessions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to engage with colleagues and a challenging customer group
- Ability to plan and organise own workload
- Commitment to quality and customers
- Full driving licence / vehicle owner and willingness to travel.
