We are seeking hard-working, passionate and friendly individuals to join The Dukes team as part of our Visitor Experience department.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:To provide a warm and friendly welcome for all visitors to The Dukes, providing a high-quality customer experience. To maximise sales through up-selling, efficient and professional service, making a significant financial contribution to The Dukes.
- As the face of The Dukes you will provide a warm and friendly atmosphere; be able to communicate confidently about what The Dukes offers (such as upcoming programming, hire opportunities and other activities available)
- You will greet visitors and answer all queries with care and courtesy considering at all times the customers’ needs and satisfaction.
- You will book tickets as part of our box office service and assist customers with queries using excellent customer service skills.
- Sell, and actively up-sell, drinks and other refreshments from the Dukes bar, including taking advance orders for interval drinks according to current licensing laws.
- You will ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained behind the bar, the cellar and in the customer areas by following cleaning routines and through ongoing diligence during shifts.
- You will adhere to Dukes policies (including health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Diversity) and other official staff guidelines. To address their personal training needs in consultation with the Deputy Head of Visitor Experience.
- Work as part of our off-site Visitor Experience Team at various venues as required providing a consistent and outstanding audience experience each and every time.
- Support the Visitor Experience Team as required.

**TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Salary and hours of work - £11.44 per hour, hours variable.
- Evening and Weekend work required.
- Holidays - 20 days pro rata.
- Notice period - 1 month
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
**ESSENTIAL**
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Confident & able to deal with large audiences.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- A commitment to customer care.
- Good timekeeping.
- Pleasant, outgoing manner.
- A good level of numeracy and literacy.
**DESIRABLE**
- Face to Face customer service experience
- Previous bar/barista experience
- Customer Service skills
