**Head of Project Delivery**

**Salary from £56,828 to £65,801 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £72,915 pa inclusive of London allowance**

The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences.

Data and Technology Services has, as the change part of its mission, responsibility for delivery of the technology components of LSE Strategy 2030, the School's comprehensive approach to continuing development of and investment in Student, Staff and Research. To enable this, DTS has formulated a technology strategy which is to build a Strong Operational Core, which we define as Shared Platforms, Shared Infrastructure, Shared Data and Shared Process all wrapped in Excellent Customer Services.

The Head of Project Delivery is responsible for ensuring high quality project and programme management within DTS.

The role includes:

- Line management of a team of Project and Programme Managers, Requirements Analysts and an Accessibility and Usability Expert
- Oversight of overall ‘inflight’ project financial reporting to ensure the budgets for projects are being managed in line with LSE financial management principles
- Accountability for setting best practice for Project/Programme delivery and ensuring adherence to these standards within the team and across the wider technology teams within LSE
- Providing Quality Assurance on Projects/Programmes as appropriate
- Working with the Business Partner team, providing reports on resource utilisation and project progress to the Division and School Leadership
- Working with the School’s Portfolio Board and Business Improvement Unit to ensure they have the relevant detail on the Division’s portfolio of work in terms of planning, progress and resourcing
- Portfolio and project management in a large, complex organisation across a range of delivery methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile
- Working with best practice Change and Release Management processes
- Digital business literacy
- Developing a broad network of business relationships
- Managing a budget, including forecasting and estimating as well as financial planning and reporting
