Kids Planet Day Nurseries are now looking for Apprentices to start their level 2 and 3 courses within their Preston Nursery. With more than 140 settings nationwide, Kids Planet Day Nursery Group provides the highest standard of nursery care and education within a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and interact with others.

Our settings provide stimulating environments with endless opportunities for creativity and fun. We are looking for individuals with a keen passion for providing hands on fun, and an innovative environment for children.

You will be provided with the opportunity to work with and learn from award winning teams within our nurseries. You will spend time with children from 0-5years old and attend training while completing all duties required of you involving keeping the children safe and enhancing their learning/play to a high standard.

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST**:
1 To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Nursery.

2 To give support to other personnel within the Nursery.

3 To implement the daily routine in the base room.

4 To engage in all elements required of your apprenticeship programme.

4 Ensure the safeguarding of children in your care

Throughout your time as an Apprentice, you will learn the following Key Responsibilities
- To provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
- To observe, support and extend children learning.
- To plan appropriately for children using the EYFS framework.
- To maintain accurate and effective children’s records.
- To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
- To demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
- To work with the Childcare and Education team to continuously improve quality of childcare and education.
- To ensure that children are kept safe and to understand and follow all Safeguarding Procedures.
- To work as a team with other staff members.
- To support and mentor students.
- To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line management.
