Established in 1999, our client is a family-run business who are proud of its heritage and outstanding reputation for the quality of its services and exceptional customer care.
The company provides customers involved in accidents with a complete accident management service. They own an extensive fleet of replacement vehicles, a recovery fleet, and garages, they have an in-house claims team.
In this role, you will enjoy working with a great team within a busy and dynamic department. You have an excellent understanding of motor insurance claims, combined with exceptional client care skills gained from working within the insurance claims sector,insurance company, or have an insurance broking background.
As the Lead Claims Handler within the Credit Hire Team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims from the first notification of loss through to settlement, whilst also assisting the client to achieve the best possible outcome for the claim.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Previous experience working within a Motor Claims environment is essential
- Excellent understanding of Case File Management Systems; proclaim preferred
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Possess a professional courteous and friendly manner

- Enthusiastic, motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to champion continuous improvement, for yourself and the team

**What will your role as a Motor Claims Handler look like?**
- Managing a personal portfolio of clients, you will also maintain close working cooperation with the transport and client care team
- Assist clients with the completion of their insurance claim, from initial client contact through to final settlement
- Obtain and accurately record all relevant information, whether presented or requested in an efficient way
- Exceed expectations when working under pressure
- Determine the right course of action to facilitate accurate claims settlement
- Liaise with repairing garages/suppliers, assist the policyholder in sourcing a quality and timely repair while keeping costs to a minimum
- Keep the policyholder fully informed of progress until the completion of their claim
