We are seeking a friendly, engaged, and well-organised administrator to become part of the Research Support Team in the School of Media, Arts & Humanities.

The role covers an interesting and varied range of tasks and will involve interacting with a wide range of colleagues, academic researchers, and doctoral research (PhD) students in the School.

Working as a member of the Research Support team you will coordinate elements across the research portfolio for both academic and doctoral researchers including:

- Supporting the doctoral research student journey, from admissions and induction, to completion covering a range of responsibilities and processes throughout the academic year.
- Working on a variety of research projects and events, as part of a team,
- Managing data records on the University system
- Financial activities, including procurement, expenses, and invoices as well as bursaries and scholarships and internal funding allocations using established spreadsheets
- Organising and minuting meetings
- Organising small conferences and workshops
- Being a key point of support and coordinator for school-based research and doctoral research activities and administrative tasks.
- Providing administrative support to faculty and doctoral research students in conjunction with the Doctoral School, Associate Dean for Research, Research Manager, Associate Dean for Doctoral Studies, and colleagues in the Professional Services team, the Research Student Administration Office (RSAO) and elsewhere in the University as required.

You will be versatile, outgoing and enjoy working closely with colleagues to deliver a high standard of support while having the freedom to create new systems.

A qualification in the arts and humanities is not a requirement for this post; we are a friendly, welcoming team with varied backgrounds, interests, education, and experiences.
