We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join the team at The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa

Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh with a capacity of up to 500 along with our One Square Restaurant and bar and the award winning ONE SPA.

As HR Officer you will handle and resolve Human Resources issues and strategy; assist employees with requests and procedures; lead and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues. You will be responsible alongside the HR Coordinator to ensure background checks are completed and that end to end recruitment processes and projects whilst managing recruitment budget effectively is carried out. Duties will also include the creation and maintenance of new hire and personnel files, assisting with orientation of new employees and other training responsibilities, including reporting. Process payroll and manage queries. Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents,).Lead and advise on Employee Relation issues. Assist in creation and implementation of policy and procedure. Carry out change management duties and assist with reward and recognition. You will manage the day to day of the office in the absence of the HR Manager and assist and support the HR Coordinator with their duties. A full job description is available on request.
- Great Customer Service Skills - Must enjoy interaction, be able to anticipate associate needs and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Build key relationships with all hotel associates to ensure expectations are met/exceeded at all times.
- Must be a Team Player - Demonstrate experience of building positive working relationships and promoting team spirit.
- Essential Computer Skills - Knowledge of Fourth is preferred, (although full training will be given), Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is essential and the ability to manage an inbox and busy to do list.
