The Resourcing Hub are currently recruiting for a Practice Manager to join our clients team in the Bexley area.The purpose of the role is to improve practice, raise standards and improve outcomes for children and young people, always promoting the safetyand wellbeing of children and young people and actively promoting equal opportunities & anti-discriminatory practice for all.The Role: To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager. To offer an advice and consultancy service to the social work team.To provide professional expertise, skills and advice to enable a safe and effective high-quality service that meets existing and new legislative and regulatory requirements. To support small number of inactive foster carers where necessary. To maintain anawareness of changes in legislation/regulation, guidance and related policies and procedures, ensuring that all social workers are informed of these changes where appropriate. To provide Supervisees and foster carers with a high standard of professional support,guidance and monitoring. To liaise, communicate and where necessary, attend and participate in case conferences, reviews, transfer protocol meetings and any other meetings that may be required. To be a part of the out-of-hours rota service and be responsiblefor coordinating the rota. To supervise members of the staff team as appropriate. To assist with initial visits to prospective foster carers, or allocate accordingly, ensuring that a written report is completed. To contribute to data/statistics collation asrequested, including progress and outcomes for children and young people and tender processes the Ofsted dataset. To co-ordinate the assessment of prospective foster carers and be responsible for the supervision and support of Independent Social Worker's.To quality assure Form F assessments. To contribute to the delivery of the 'Skills to Foster' courses throughout the year where required. To be responsible for the co-ordination of the support groups in each geographical area, ensuring that all areas havea support group running. To assist with the monitoring and effective implementation of arrangements to safeguard children & young people, including those who go missing.
