**Hazel Tree Education are recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor.**
We are currently recruiting for a specialist provision in Wigan that are looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to join their team. The position is on a long term basis with a view to go permanent for the right person. These roles are full time (08:30-16:00).
As a Behaviour Mentor you will be working alongside the class teacher and other TA's supporting students with everyday school life, however, there will be times that you will need to be supporting children on a 1:1 and small groups basis independently. You will be a source of support for students and will ensure they are motivated, happy and engaged. Team Teach experience is not essential but desirable.
**Applicants must have**:
- A DBS on the update service (we can assist)
- An interest in working with children with additional needs (ASD/ADHD/SEMH)
- A positive, can-do attitude
- The ability to work on own initiative
- A willingness to learn and undertake opportunities for professional development
- A patient, calm and kind demeanour in order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
