Finance Assistant

Responsibilities would be:
- Managing credit control and taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
- Following up payments as needed by sending out customer reminder letters
- Dealing with invoice queries, running an aged debtors report and maintaining credit control notes.
- Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
- Filing invoices
- Checking and processing provider returns on a weekly basis and dealing with queries raised by the Local authority.
- Chasing Franchisees for their overdue Monthly Management Reports
- Inputting received cheques from customers on SAGE and sending them to the bank
- Taking payments for DBS, Invoices, etc. over the phone via online debit card facility
- Checking and inputting expenses (For Office Staff and Carers) on SAGE for Caremark
- Sending out overdue reminders to customers as part of credit control
- Help with monthly invoicing - inputting invoices on SAGE and sending them out to customers
- Maintain Purchase orders and Purchase order Logs.
- Support with supplier invoices (matching them to the POs and recording them on Sage)
- Help with covering the company phones when needed
- Cover for staff holidays/sick days and adhoc finance duties
- Any other tasks that the Company may reasonable require you from time to time to do any work within your capacity and which is necessary for the needs of the business.
Person Specification:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
- AAT Level 2 qualified individual will be preferred
- SAGE experience preferred.
