Pr & Communications Manager

A leading, global law firm is recruiting a PR & Communications Manager to support the Associate Director of PR & Communications with EMEA public relations and comms, which promote the firm's work, culture and strategy. The firm has a number of top-tier practices,and this exciting opportunity will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders a number of exciting initiatives such as innovation, diversity & inclusion and ESG.
The PR & Communications Manager will build and maintain relationships with media contacts across the legal, national and trade press, act as the day-to-day press office contact and identify and pitch engaging story ideas.
Key responsibilities as PR & Communications Manager:
- Develop and manage existing and new media contacts.
- Curate and publish high-quality press releases, articles and social media posts.
- Monitor editorial calendars of key media outlets and broader business calendars and recommend PR & comms campaign ideas to actively promote the firm.
- Coordinate, brief and coach media interviews with partners and other senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the broader marketing and BD team to align PR & comms activity.
Essential skills and experience required for the PR & Communications Manager:
- 4-5 years of public relations and communications experience within professional services, ideally legal. This can be experience gained in-house or agency-side.
- Exceptional communications skills, mainly writing and confident speaking with the press.
- Experience working with partners and senior stakeholders and providing them with ideas and advice on best PR & communications practice.
- Experience using PR databases and monitoring platforms.
Pay: £60k to £62k plus excellent benefits.
