Kirklees Pharmacy is an Independent Pharmacy looking for a Full time dispenser to join our friendly pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a self driven and engaged individual. This vacancy is on a permanent basis, however is conditional upon successfully completing the probationary period.

**PHARMACY DISPENSER**

**MUST BE NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 Qualified in Pharmacy Dispensing Services**

**Full Time Position - 30+ Hours Per week**

**Salary negotiable on experience and qualifications**

**4 Weeks Holiday per Year + BH**

**Duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Label, dispense and endorse prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Ensure the safe supply and appropriate storage of medicines.
- Ordering sufficient medication and stock in line with company procedures to meet customer demand and date/usage checking to maximise availability and minimise waste.
- Create and update patient medication records in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Assist where necessary with the preparation of monitored dosage systems to benefit patients on multiple medication regimes.
- Check endorsements and patient declarations on prescriptions and file correctly to ensure maximum payments are received with mínimal losses.
- Process invoices and paperwork in a timely manner following company procedures.
- Undertake all necessary housekeeping duties so that dispensary areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives.
- Assist in implementation of statutary responsibility of the pharmacy H&S, GPhC, Terms of Service

**The Pharmacy Assistant/Dispenser will have**:

- At least 24 months experience working in a community Pharmacy.
- An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent (e.g. Dispensary Assistants Course)
- Be able to work as part of a team and take your own initiative when required.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- A can do attitude to assist where needed.
- Basic Microsoft Office/IT skills necessary. Training will be provided on internal software.
- A professional manner and good quality written and verbal English language skills.
- Have awareness of all essencial and advanced services, PQS, DSP, CPAF

Pay negotiable depending on experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.60-£13.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Pharmacy: 2 years (required)
