As a Relief Care Worker, you will deliver compassionate care tailored to the needs of individual service users, ensuring their dignity and well-being at all times. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide personal care, assist with equipment, and maintain a comfortable and supportive environment. Key duties include promoting mental and physical activity, monitoring nutritional needs, and maintaining service users' personal belongings. You will also liaise with healthcare professionals and offer end-of-life support when necessary. Your role will include responding to emergency calls and ensuring that visitors and communications are handled professionally. Respecting the spiritual life of service users is essential, and you will assist them in practising their faith, whether through Christian worship or their preferred choice. CrossReach will support your professional development through training and qualifications, including achieving an SVQ 3 in Social Care if not already held.
