Warehouse Operative

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join the team at Silvertrees, Westhill site on a full-time, permanent basis.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting with the management of routine inventory checks.
- Participating in the Daily Inventory Cycle Counts.
- Ensure the efficient loading and unloading of deliveries and orders.
- Picking goods (as per Warehouse Procedure).
- Pack and Dispatch orders and goods (as per Warehouse Procedure and specific Customers requirements).
- Provide all customers with an exceptional level of service.
- Ensuring the safe storage of goods & products within the warehouse environment and highlighting areas of improvement.
- Warehouse Housekeeping, ensuring all inside and outside areas are clean and tidy and free from hazards at all times.
- Ensuring attention to detail and good standard of numeracy are demonstrated at all times to minimise discrepancies.
- Tracking shipments as required.
- Ensure product returns are processed in line with the company’s return policy.
- Taking ownership of material discrepancies, logging and investigating root causes and ensuring line manager is aware.
- Continually seek to improve operational and process improvements.
- Thorough understanding of relevant Swagelok Corporate and Swagelok Scotland, Ireland & Teesside Policies.
- Create collaboration with other teams to ensure all customer needs are met.
- Aim to deliver business objectives and departmental goals.
- Demonstrate and nurture a keen sense of team spirit.
- Maintain Health and Safety and Fire regulations.
**Essential Experience**
- Experience in a similar role, preferably with a Logistics & Warehouse background.
- Understanding of varied industries.
- A self-starter with a good degree of initiative and self-motivation who can deliver effective work without the need for close management.
- Collaboration with colleagues, internal and external partners to achieve the best possible customer experience and get the best results.
- Attention to detail and deadlines.
- Ability to filter information, assess priorities and manage own workload.
- Positive and flexible attitude.
- Strong listening skills.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understand how to prioritise business and spend the appropriate time on the right tasks.
- Must have excellent Health and Safety knowledge.
- Good IT skills, with experience in Outlook and excel.
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
- Must demonstrate personal values that are aligned with Swagelok Company Values.
**Preferred Experience**
- Clean Driving License.
- Forklift License (preferred but not essential).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
