The Children’s Bladder and Bowel Service is an innovative and progressive service, that provides specialist care, treatment, support and advice to children (and their families) within Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) under the supervision of the Specialist Nurses.
An enthusiastic, flexible, warm and reflective practitioner who is committed to ongoing development of their skills and knowledge, is required to join the Children’s Bladder and Bowel Service, to maintain the excellent standards of the service.
The service is delivered in a variety of settings including family homes, children centres, health centres/clinics and other community facilities.

You will work under the supervision of the Specialist Nurses and Team Lead
You will provide support and assistance to the Specialist Nurses in the continence assessment process
You will provide education and training to early years settings (children’s centres, pre-schools and nurseries) and educational settings (schools) to promote healthy bladders and bowels
You will provide support for children/parents of children who have not achieved continence and who are experiencing difficulties with toilet training.
You will work in partnership with families, delivering a variety of evidence-based interventions that promote continence, taking into account the emotional and developmental needs of the child
You will act as a resource to parents and children, carers, professional and non-professional staff
You will work within the wider team to develop and progress the service
