**Partnership Office - HR Director**
KPMG UK are launching a new Partnership Office which will deliver an excellent experience to **all** our partners, from joining through to retirement and as alumni.
The Partnership Office will be the go-to place for all partners, where we leverage technology and our specialist resources to provide effective support during the partner journey and beyond. Partnership Office will deliver a suite of services to our partners ensuring we meet the needs of a modern, dynamic partnership.
This is a high-profile role, reporting directly to the Head of the Partnership Office and working closely with individual partners at critical points in their career.
The individual would be responsible for the activities of the dedicated Partnership Office HR team, as well working closely with the Capability HR Business Partners, the specialists in the Centre of Excellence and the Operational Excellence Hub to deliver on the promise.

**Roles and responsibilities**:
- The HR Director (HRD) will be responsible for the delivery of the HR related aspects of Partnership Office. This includes individual case management, annual deliverables such as pay and promotions and project related activity. The HRD will support the Head of Partnership Office, providing input and advice on partner activity and sentiment
- The HRD will manage a dedicated team of HR specialists working closely with the Service Delivery Director (“SDD”) and the wider Partnership Office team to deliver on the Mission Statement “We will deliver an excellent experience to all our partners from joining through to retirement and as alumni”.
- The HRD will also be responsible for building relationships and working closely with the relevant HR Business Partners in the capabilities, the specialists in the HR Centre of Excellence and OEH to deliver excellence to the partner group.
- The HRD will be responsible, in conjunction with the business, for ensuring that Individual Partners receive the appropriate care and support at important points including recruitment, promotion and retirement. As the most senior HR professional in the team the HRD will be personally involved in the most difficult cases
- The provision of pastoral support for partners through illness and life events including dealing with third parties such as Occupational Health helping our partners with a successful return to work
- Working with the SDD the HRD will be responsible for delivery of the partner related activities within the Annual Cycle. This includes inter-alia
- Partner promotions
- Progression from Band A to Band B
- Pay and performance review including Partner Bandings and Pay Principles
- The HRD will also have a critical role in the strategy & development of the Partnership Office including the provision of enhanced and better services to the partner group.
- Areas flagged as priority projects include
- Embedding the salaried partner model
- Integration of external hires
- Review of equity pay model
- Enhanced offerings on financial and health to improve partner wellbeing
**Skills and qualifications**:
- Senior experience in HR roles, predominantly in an HR Business Partnering environment. A robust working knowledge of a Partnership model is desirable
- Excellent track record of collaboration - ability to work across the business to achieve common goals. They will be able to demonstrate a smart working approach within a small team and leveraging a large network
- Confidence and experience of dealing with senior leadership including amongst other the Chief Executive, the COO and the CFO. Willingness to formulate and express own opinions
- Applies sound judgment when faced with challenging decisions. This role will require diplomacy, respect, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Highly resilient and persuasive
- Writing and presentation of reports and policies. Track record of successful implementation
- Experience of building, developing and inspiring teams both within own area and more widely
- Experience in managing multiple conflicting demands and delivery of projects whilst maintaining high standard of BAU delivery. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
