We are looking for a talented
**CFO **to join our team. Reporting to the CEO and the board, you will take responsibility across all financial matters and will provide commercial analysis and oversight across the company.
You will lead the small finance team, taking a hands-on approach that delivers optimal financial outcomes in the short, medium and long-term. You will drive future financial performance and continuous improvements to support company growth.
**The Company**
Medical imaging helps patients by enabling early and accurate diagnosis. However, 2D X-rays can be inconclusive as they give a fundamentally limited view of our 3D bodies. 3D images are possible with CT scanners but these are much expensive, give a high dose of radiation and moving a critically ill patient to a scanner can be labour-intensive and risky.
At Adaptix we are helping make 3D imaging more accessible to the people who need it by producing mobile flat-panel X-ray systems that can be brought to patients giving low-cost, low-dose imaging.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Working as a senior business leader within the executive team challenging, coaching and supporting all members of the company to deliver optimal financial outcomes in the short, medium and long-term, and balancing the conflicting needs of those time periods.
- Manage cash to deliver business plans, ensuring best-in-class cash forecasting.
- Lead the definition of a finance strategy that aligns with the business strategy and lead on how strategy is defined, measured and monitored to optimise the achievement of strategic, business and financial objectives.
- Leading and setting the culture and standards of the Finance function.
- Promoting the business’ vision across the Company and to external stakeholders.
- Drive future financial performance (revenues, cash generation, profitability, return on equity) and reduce gaps between forecast and actual financial performance as the company transitions to commercialisation.
- Have a strategic focus on shareholder value creation through a combination of:
- Strategic positioning
- Identifying and executing upon opportunities to sell-off or independently spin-out lines of business
- Ensuring the company creates and preserves the option to list on either LSE AIM or NASDAQ markets
- Maximising attractiveness to potential corporate acquirers
- Considering and supporting building value through M&A
- Ensure that the Company, including all subsidiaries, has a robust internal control environment (including currency risk) at a level that the Company could list or be easily integrated into a listed company.
- Be fully accountable for the integrity of all financial systems and financial reporting (management and statutory).
- Take full responsibility for all aspects of business planning and forecasting and continually improving processes to improve target setting, planning, budgeting, re-forecasting and reporting.
- Ensuing that we challenge ourselves to be top quartile in terms of speed, accuracy, relevance and presentation of financial reporting. Disseminating reporting as appropriate across the company to help improve decision making and employee engagement.

**Experience**:
- Senior financial management experience in a mid-sized company and experience at Board level
- Proven track record in business controlling and finance roles
- Fund raising
- Experience at Board level
- IFRS reporting (essential), US GAAP reporting (desired)
- Overseeing tax compliance and statutory reporting
- Leading in high change environments
- Commercial experience (essential), Manufacturing exposure (desired), Process engineering (desired)
- UK AIM Listing and working in a listed environment
- M&A (desired)
- US NASDAQ listing (desired)
