**PA for Autistic teenager male - school holidays up to 8 hours a week. Flexible**:
Job title: Personal Assistant (PA) - through school holidays
Location: Leeds LS8 - for trips out and about
Job purpose:

- To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable/assist the young person with autism and

learning difficulties who needs care and support to live their personal and social life
according to their wishes and interests.
About me:

- I am a 16 years old boy with autism, learning difficulties who enjoys:
sensory/messy play and going out and about. My autism means I struggle to
understand what is expected of me. I am non verbal, have no sense of danger
and sensitive to sound, smell or touch.
- When I am out of my comfort zone I may present with challenging behaviour so I need

someone who is patient and can support me at my own pace.
Main duties:

- Social duties, support to:

- take part in active and sensory play;
- developing my confidence outdoors;
- accompany me to the park, farm, swimming, or other activities that I may enjoy;
- Personal care, for example support with dressing, eating or changing nappy.

- reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust

and respect, flexible, adaptable, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality
and diversity;

Hours of work:

Rate of pay:
£9.50 per hour Monday to Sunday;
Skills, qualifications and experience:

- ability to support people with behaviours which challenge;
- car driver (vehicle available);
- confidentiality;
- specialist communication skills, Makaton, or a willingness to learn;
