**A kind & caring PA is required to support a teenage boy in LS9 area**:
HOURS: 8 hours per week (4 hours Saturdays 10am-2pm, and 4 hours one evening during the week to be arranged with the Employer).
Plus an additional 4 hours per week during the school holidays.
LOCATION: Leeds 9 area & the local community
PURPOSE OF JOB
A kind & caring Personal Assistant (PA) is required to support my 13 year old son who enjoys getting out & about. He has spina bifida & uses a manual wheelchair. My son would like a PA to support him to access the community, including trips to local parks & shopping malls, & this will include accessing public transport, where he has a bus pass which enables the person accompanying him to travel for free. The PA will need to push my son in his wheelchair when in the community. He likes playing basketball & arcade games, & the successful PA would support my son to access these activities.
My son wears pads, & the PA would need to support him with changing his pads so as to ensure his dignity remains intact. We have a RADAR key to access accessible toilets in the community.
It is very important the successful PA builds a rapport with my son, so as to encourage a healthy bond & trust.
