Block Manager

Due to the ongoing success of the business, a vacancy has arisen for a Block Manager to join the team in Grays, Essex. The portfolio is entirely block management, so someone with residential block management experience is essential. Whilst qualificationswould be beneficial, they are not essential as the company will provide ongoing support.

You will set a high bar for ensuring the company meet their legal and regulatory responsibilities, whilst keeping excellent customer service at the heart of what you deliver. Responsibilities will include:

- Liaising effectively with contractors and surveyors to organise maintenance works
- Agreeing and setting budgets to ensure funds are available for major works
- Dealing with all enquiries relating to managed blocks and resolving outstanding disputes
- Attending site meetings as and when required
- Supervising and organising staff to maximum efficiency.

Personal specification:

- At least 2-3 years’ residential block management experience
- Strong knowledge of relevant landlord and tenant act
- IRPM would be preferred
- Relevant health & safety training or experience
- Good IT skills including Outlook, MS Word, Excel and experience using block management software
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Team player
- Full UK driving licence.

The salary for this role will be in the region of £35,000 dependent on previous experience and qualifications, with the opportunity for financial/equity rewards in the future. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
