**Job summary**:

- We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously on multiple projects, and with a passion for improving the future of the intelligence analysis profession.**Job description**:
The Professional Head of Intelligence Assessment (PHIA) is supported by the Professionalisation team to define and maintain standards across the whole assessment community in the UK.

The PHIA Professionalisation Officer manages the Secretariat function for the Intelligence Analysis Profession Board, coordinating attendance of SCS1-2 representatives from across the community, planning the agenda, and publishing minutes & supporting papers. They coordinate monthly Product Evaluation Boards and lead on the
delivery of strategic communications with the community. The Professionalisation Officer also has a role in developing and maintaining long-term Professionalisation workstreams which serve the Intelligence Analysis community.

**Person specification**:

- Coordinate and secretariat the Intelligence Analysis Profession Board in support of the Chair, recording minutes and supporting the delivery of a Chairs briefing note.
- Organise and coordinate the delivery of monthly Product Evaluation Boards: organising panel members and papers, and supporting the Chair.
- Deliver the monthly Intelligence Analysis newsletter for the community.
- Manage and filter the PHIA mailbox, responding to queries where appropriate or escalating them where necessary.
- Attend cross community engagement events and liaise with members of the IA community as appropriate in support of Professionalisation workstreams.
- Assist the rest of the Professionalisation team in maintaining existing long-term Professionalisation workstreams.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- You will have clear communication skills and the ability to communicate strategic issues to senior stakeholders, both verbally and in written form.
- You will be able to manage relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, and identify and build networks with key interlocutors.
- You will have strong organisational skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and set out clear pathways to delivery.
- You will be a creative thinker who can identify opportunities to be exploited for the benefit and improvement of the intelligence analysis community.
- You will be a team player who works to bring various stakeholders to consensus on complex issues, drawing on specific strengths, knowledge and expertise of colleagues and partners to solve problems and achieve consensus.
- You will have well-established resilience and flexibility to work in a fast-moving and unpredictable environment, particularly during national security crisis events.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience of working in the intelligence assessment community.
- Experience of managing multiple projects at one time.
- Existing DV clearance.

**Benefits**:
Annual salary increases will depend upon individual performance and contribution to the organisation’s success. In addition, there will be the opportunity to earn performance related bonuses.

**Flexible Working**: Flexible working including job-share arrangements may be considered for this role.

**Leave allowances**: 25 days' paid leave per annum rising to 30 days after five years' service. In addition, full-time staff receive eight public holidays and the King’s Birthday privilege day as well as competitive maternity, paternity, parental and adoption leave.

**Probation**: Staff new to the Civil Service will be required to serve a six-month probationary period.

**Location**: The post will be based in Westminster, London. No relocation costs will be available.
