As HR Officer, you will primarily be concerned with providing strategic advice as well as being involved in the day-to-day operations/management. Providing guidance and leadership across the company on all aspects of the key risk areas of Human Resources. You will be expected to lead the strategic development across the range of Human Resource areas and be required to ensure that HR policies and procedures are legally compliant.
You will set strategic priorities for the Board over short, medium and long term and contribute to planning, processes and provide strategic advice and guidance to Heads of department on the key risk areas linked to Human Resources issues.
Additionally, you will take overall responsibility for the management and development of staff within HR and be responsible for analysing workloads within the unit and ensuring a fair and equitable distribution of workload, the team currently includes a HR Administrator.
You will lead on the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance protocols and standards in relation to HR, own the development and implementation of the company’s HR Strategy as a key enabler of the company’s strategic plan, and play an active role in supporting the effective management of change across the Company advising on strategies to achieve high levels of commitment to achieving agreed outcomes.
**But what we need from you?**
You will have an in-depth understanding of strategic development, organisational design and policies within HR, including current operational knowledge of employment law legislation
Significant experience in business and personnel leadership
Experience of working with a multi union context would be useful.
Detail-oriented and the ability to provide high levels of accuracy in all work
Substantial organisational skills
Excellent customer/client service skills
Hospitality and / or Retail background essential.
CIPD Level 5 or above in Human Resources, preferred.
£35k per annum
