Our client is an award winning family-run Design and Build company specialising in the design and delivery of residential kitchen projects.
Due to the growth of the company they are looking for a Project Manager to join their small team.
The job role is to take the kitchen design that the client and our inhouse design team have agreed and to coordinate the delivery of the project on site.
The Project Managers and Project Designers are the people in their team that hold the projects together, playing an essential role in the entire process.
This is a coordination role, a 'making it happen’ role for someone practical who gets a buzz from being incredibly organised and has a genuine passion for attention to detail, for bringing people together in a team and for seeing a job well executed. You'llneed to be confident in overcoming challenges that inevitably happen when project managing and proactive in your thinking and approach.
On a practical level they are looking to meet someone who wants to work in the residential sector, who has a university degree and who has then been working for a minimum of 2 years in a relatable role so that they can demonstrate experience as follows.
- Organisational skills
- Competent in the use of excel and generally used to using project management/work flow software in their previous role
- Commercially aware of the responsibility on any job for controlling costs
- Confident communicator and team player ie able to communicate calmly and effectively to both a client and to tradespeople on site and internal team involved in a project
- Ideally you will have experience of being able to read drawings and use autocad
The role is based in our Richmond showroom and the applicant must be able to drive as this is necessary for site meetings.
Salary is £30k to £40k based on experience.
