**Technical Project Manager**

**Location**: Lewes

**Salary**: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Our client is looking for a technical manager who can both develop, implement and manage community owned renewable energy projects.They would also expect you to support the senior climate and energy officer to find suitable renewable sites in order todevelop a pipeline of projects.You will also be the go-to technical adviser for the general public, local businesses and external contractors. The company currently manage 15 solar PV sites but they would like to expand into other forms of renewable energyprojects and would expect this role to be able to coordinate such projects.

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Lead on renewable micro generation, energy & water efficiency projects from feasibility to construction and operation.
- Work with the Senior Climate and Energy Officer to identify suitable sites for renewables
- Survey sites for new installations - both on site and desktop surveys
- Monitor and maintain all installed renewable generation sites
- Be the first point of contact for technical advice for the general public, local business and contractors.
- Support the company with technical advice for projects such as CommuniHeat, Ouse Valley Solar Farm, eCargo bikes and roof top solar PV projects.
- Work with the team as technical adviser to develop projects to generate a sustainable income source.
- Manage all aspects of Health and Safety compliance for installation and maintenance of projects
- Provide solar PV generation and carbon saving data for reporting.
- Provide technical data to feed into financial modelling for example for Power Purchase Agreements.

**Person Specification, Qualifications and Skills
**Essential**:

- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Proven track record in working with customers
- Proactive attitude to problem solving
- Experience of renewable energy and energy efficiency in general
- Experience of the installation process for roof top and ground mounted solar PV generation from site surveying through to working installations, including permissions and approvals
- Familiarity with tendering and quoting
- Knowledge of project management software
- Able to work a range of hours
- Full driving license
- Clear understanding of MS Office tools
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Fully fit and able to work at heights

**Desirable**:

- City and Guilds 2372 PV Training or similar Micro Generation qualification
- Skilled at using PVsyst or similar software
- Training in working at heights
- Qualifications in 1st Aid & Health & Safety
- Experience of solar farms and wind farms O&M
- Experience of batteries storage, EV charging and solar thermal and heat pumps.
- Experience of thermal imaging and use of drones
- Has a CSCS Card
- Ability to calculate heat loss from proprietary software.
