Acorn Education & Care are recruiting Children's Home Care Workers to join our teams within the Nottingham area.
Hanai House is a three bed registered Children’s home. We support Male and Female Children and Young People build incredible futures by giving them opportunities, developing their life skills and personal interests.
Acorn Education and Care work directly with vulnerable children with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. This means that the Children we care for may need support to develop their day-to-day skills, including communication and practical skills. Theymay also need support to complete their personal care.
This home is **based in Woodthorpe** and is within commuting distance from Mansfield and Derby.
**Contracts available - Full Time Days & Nights, and Zero Hours Bank Contracts.**
**Who we are looking for**:
Although, experience is not required, we need people who fit the following criteria
- People with a big heart and passion to make a difference to the Children & Young People’s lives
- Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging
- Be patient, resilient and calming
- Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs
- Willingness to learn not only about the Children & Young People we support, but the ins and outs of Children’s Residential Care, by working towards a **funded diploma in Residential Childcare**
