A local organisation are looking to recruit a Children's Sexual Violence Advisor in West Midlands to work on a permanent basis.
The role
As a Children's Sexual Violence Advisor, based Sandwell / Black Country area, you will be working with children between 5-18 years old who will have been victims of sexual violence or abuse and supporting them. This is a unique opportunity to work with this client group for an organisation who are very reputable.
**Responsibilities**:
As a Sexual Violence Advisor in West Midlands you will be:
- Key working with children and adults to build successful and trusting relationships
- Providing advocacy, advice, guidance and therapeutic interventions
- Delivering group working sessions
- Risk assessing individuals
- Creating and updating support plans
- Experience working with women and children who have experienced significant trauma including sexual violence or abuse
- Experience completing assessments
- Experience of working with children and delivering a range of different interventions
- Experience of working with children experiencing suicidal thoughts and mental health issues
- Experience of multi-agency working
- A genuine passion for working with vulnerable children and young people
- A CRB/DBS check within the last 12 months
- Access to a vehicle and full driving license is desirable
