Family, Domestic, and Sexual Violence Case Worker

Introduction Empower vulnerable children, young people, and families by providing vital support and advocacy. Part‑time (22.5 hours per fortnight) contract opportunity until 30 June 2026. Based in Derby, Western Australia. Description Our Marooloo Counselling Service provides support to children and young people aged 5‑25 and their families who have been impacted or are at risk of trauma and abuse. Support may include case management, advocacy, safety planning and trauma‑informed psychotherapy for individuals or groups. This role will deliver high‑quality, strengths‑based case management services to children and young people impacted by or experiencing family, domestic and sexual violence in the West Kimberley. It is a part‑time (0.5 FTE – 37.5 hours per fortnight) maximum‑term opportunity until 30 June 2025 based in Derby, WA. Skills and Experiences You will bring your patient and empathetic nature alongside experience in delivering person‑centred, trauma‑informed case‑management services that are culturally appropriate. Demonstrated behaviour‑management, conflict‑resolution, advocacy and negotiation skills. Ability to engage and build strong relationships with at‑risk children, young people and their families. Case‑management and assessment skills. Ability to accept respect and work with young people from: A broad range of backgrounds and abilities. Different cultures, particularly with Aboriginal & CaLD young people. Who may identify as LGBTQIA. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be innovative, flexible, work independently, use initiative and work effectively under pressure. Successful candidates must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within 12 months, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Driver’s Licence. Benefits Salary starts at $47,822.00 plus 12% superannuation. Generous tax‑free salary packaging benefits (up to $15,900 per annum, $2,650 for meal and entertainment, and additional regional benefits).
