The post may involve working in a number of locations depending on client needs. You will need to be flexible on your place of work and able to use your own transport. Your work base will be at Bradford and/or working remotely via Microsoft Teams or by telephone

We have an active Board, responsible for governance (steering and accounting for the organisation) whilst day to day management functions (getting things done) are organised by the Chief Executive Officer.

**Main Purpose of the Role**:
As Head of Finance you will be responsible to the CEO of Relate Bradford & Leeds for ensuring the financial health of the organisation and that all financial legal and required operational standards and obligations are met. You will lead and deliver the day-to-day operational finance functions to meet the needs of the business.

**Principle Accountabilities**:

- Adhere to the codes of ethics and practice adopted by Relate and relevant Counselling Professional Bodies.
- Be aware of and adhere to all Relate policies and practices, including Child Protection, Safeguarding and Confidentiality to ensure the safety of clients and staff
- To maintain confidential records according to the data protection regulations and centre procedures
- To take responsibility for professional development and training as agreed with the CEO to maintain your professional status and to meet business development needs
- To work collaboratively with the Centre team and the Federation to ensure the relationship counselling services are delivered in a coordinated, professional and efficient manner
- Positively and proactively undertake other duties as required by the CEO that are appropriate to the position.
Key ResponsibilitiesTo comply with and to work within Relate’s policies and practice guidelines, including those on equal opportunities & diversity and confidentiality and in every respect to work to maintain the standards and reputation of Relate.

To participate in the required training and development appropriate to the job role.

To manage the work to ensure that agreed organisational and personal objectives are successfully achieved and all tasks are completed on time for month end, quarterly and year end reporting purposes

Month end procedures: To manage the month end close off of the ledgers. To oversee the production and monitoring of the month end expenditure reports for cost centre managers. To ensure all monthly controls are completed including review of payroll accounts and completion and review of balance sheet account reconciliations.

Payroll: To oversee the monthly collation of change of information for the payment of all staff. To manage the relationship with the Payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and to process salary payments.

Financial system: To act as system owner and manager of the accounting system, currently QuickBooks, and lead on improvements to p
