JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a rapidly expanding, privately owned company as they look to recruit a new Head of Finance. Reporting to the current FD who is taking a step back from the day to day running of the finance department, they arelooking for someone with the drive to become the future FD in next 2-3 years.

Applicants will have a proven track record of operating at a similar level, managing a finance function and supporting senior management to drive a business forward through the provision of accurate and robust MI. This is a key role within the organisationand will become a significant part of the Senior Leadership team.

Day to day duties and responsibilities will include:

- The role has day to day control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy and the accounting function
- Management of the finance department and personal development of all employees within the team (7 fte)
- Manage and lead the team successfully through accounting process periods including overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts pack and year end requirements
- Responsibility for the issue of weekly financial reports and the accuracy of them
- Analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, with the most profitable outcomes
- Ensure the budgeting process is carried out and reviewed working with departments to help them plan and manage their own budgets
- Monitor, control and improve average debtor days, overseeing an experienced Credit Controller
- Work with Finance and Managing Directors to contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities,plans, targets and business drivers.
- Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
- Maintain integrity of the accounting system software ensuring it remains effective and efficient at all times
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies
- Present annual accounts to bank and auditors
- Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
- Other duties as required of a Head of Finance

Applicants will be qualified with relevant experience at a similar level. The drive and ambition to succeed both personally and to support the business to achieve its goals is essential. Offering a competitive salary, the package is generous and includes;car allowance, bonus (up to 20% of salary based on company performance) and the incentive of becoming Finance Director within a realistic timescale.
