**ICT Officer - ICT Strategy - Cloud environments - Edinburgh**
Are you a tech-savvy professional who is passionate about driving technological innovation within an SME environment?
I am partnering with an independent not-for-profit SME in Edinburgh who are looking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated ICT Officer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity as you will play a vital role in their success by taking ownership of the ICT strategy, systems and processes. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Advising and Collaborating: Working closely with key stakeholders across the business to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on technology solutions that can enhance their productivity and efficiency.
- Technology Development: Evaluating existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending and implementing the best technology solutions to support the company's operations.
- Vendor Management: Building and managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of technology solutions and support services.
- IT Infrastructure: Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems to ensure the smooth operation of our IT environment.
- Data Security: Implementing and enforcing robust data security measures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and proactively identifying potential security risks.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Providing technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and inventory of all IT assets and procedures.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a not-for-profit or public sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security.
- Ability to devise and implement IT strategy
- Experience in managing third-party vendors and service providers.
- Proficiency in networking protocols, hardware, and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
