**Rotational Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer to join our Pharmacy team based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 6BW, with a salary range of £19,886 - £25,012 on offer.

The Pharmacy department at The London Clinic comprises of number of areas which work together to provide effective patient services and best possible outcomes for our patients.

The London Clinic’s Pharmacy Department are a close-knit team with around 45 staff members. The Pharmacy department comprises of 9 core services: On Call, Dispensary Services, Distribution and Top Up Service, Procurement, Clinical Ward Pharmacy Services, Provision of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Aseptic/Technical Services, Clinical Governance and Education and Training.

We have extensive oncology services, including a purpose built chemotherapy aseptic compounding suite. As well as an automated medication dispensing system which supports decentralised medicine management in numerous wards.

**Job Profile**

As Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer you will carry out a range of duties covering areas of the pharmacy department including dispensary, distribution and procurement to provide an efficient and comprehensive pharmacy service. You will assist in reception duties, dispensing of medicines, receipt and unpacking of medicines, distribution of stock, assist in the ordering, stock management, invoice processes, assemble IV fluids and the return of medicines.

**Job Type**:This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.

**Shifts**: Monday to Sunday 8.30am to 7.30pm as rostered

**Salary**:£19,886 - £25,012 per annum, inclusive dependant on skills and experience

**Key Duties**
- To provide a top up service to allocated wards and departments
- To assist in day to day ordering of medicinal products.
- Reception duties; Receive outpatient prescriptions, transcriptions and TTOs from the wards and entry of prescriptions details onto computer system (tracker) as per procedure.
- To deal with queries from patients, carers and staff in a professional manner.

**Skills & Experience**
- GCSEs (or equivalent) grade A - C in Maths, English and Science (all 3 are required)
- Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy.
- Able to use Microsoft Office and have basic keyboard skills.
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent desirable
