We are looking for 2 highly motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Paramedics, who are HPC registered, to work at Manchester Airport.

You will also have to display confidence and effectiveness in making decisions, and be able to demonstrate a professional approach along with excellent clinical skills.

You will be expected to use advanced driving skills, under blue lights and normal traffic conditions, to respond to emergency and routine calls. Therefore, you are required to hold a full UK driving license, complete with the C1 category, and have no more than 3 points on your license (in exceptional circumstances a maximum of 6 points may be considered).

As this role involves liaising with various Manchester Airport agencies and airline staff, excellent communication skills are essential.

You must be confident in your ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure, whilst also being a pro-active member of the team. You must also be fully trained in the use of the Manchester Triage System.

You will be expected to undertake contact shifts and appraisal within your partner Group (South Manchester) and will be expected to maintain your competence as Paramedic crewed on an ambulance.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.

We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
