**Job Title**: Electricity Meter Examiner

**Location**:Buxton

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electricity Metre Examiner to join our team. As an Electricity Metre Examiner, you will be responsible for performing Type Approval certification activities under 2014/32/EU / Measuring Instrument Regulations 2016.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring compliance with Measuring Instrument Directive/Regulations
- Carrying out metering disputes across the UK
- Performing examinations and inspections of electricity metres
- Utilising test and measuring equipment for testing electrical energy metres
- Analysing and interpreting data to identify any issues or discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all activities
- Collaborating with internal teams to improve processes and procedures

**Qualifications**:
**Requirements**:

- HNC/D in Electrical/Electronic engineering
- Full Driving License for use in the UK
- Previous experience in performing Type Approval certification activities under 2014/32/EU / Measuring Instrument Regulations 2016
- Working knowledge of EN 50470 and 62052/62053 series
- Working knowledge of Measuring Instrument Directive/Regulations
- Analytical skills with a solid background in electrical/electronic engineering
- Use of test and measuring equipment relating to testing electrical energy meters
- Familiarity working under an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 / 17065:2012 quality management system
- Familiarity with EMC test standards
