The role will lead the Risk Reporting team, responsible for ensuring timely risk reporting to executive committees and boards which is high-quality and insightful. The role will further take lead roles in:
- Maintaining and improving the Group’s Risk Management and controls framework;
- Maintaining and improving risk systems;
- Leading and overseeing engagements with Technology and Change business areas on behalf of the Group Risk Management Team.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Be accountable for ensuring effective Risk Reporting, supporting relevant Executive committees and boards
- Develop and maintain the framework and system(s) used for risk data recording, gathering and reporting (key risk indicators, risk registers, risk and control self-assessment, incidents)
- Maintain and contribute to the development of SJP’s Risk Management Framework
- Engage with senior internal customers in the business who own risks to update, refine and embed Risk Appetite Statements at a Group and regulated entity level
- Be the senior risk contact for, and lead a Risk Consultant and Analyst who are Risk Business Partners to, the Technology business area.
- Contribute specialist technical knowledge and business awareness on the development, within the Group Risk team, of other strategic priorities
- Policy Ownership (Risk management policy, Risk Management Framework & Internal controls Framework)
- Support the development of the Risk Reporting team
**What we are looking for**:
- A comprehensive understanding of risk management processes and controls, and previous experience in a risk, audit or compliance based management role
- A proficiency in use and development of user-friendly technology solutions. The ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong communication skills and ability to challenge at Leadership level
- High level of problem solving skills
- Excellent Excel skills, in order to be able to suitably manipulate data to produce and analyse MI.
