Robert Walters are pleased to be working with a FTSE listed, multi entity organisation, based in Woking who are looking for a Group Finance Analyst to join on a permanent basis. This position would suit a qualified Accountant who is looking to take a firststep from practice into industry, utilising existing technical skills within a more commercial environment.
As Group Financial Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner to the senior leadership team, as well as providing commentary on those transactions. In addition, this Analyst will supportwill manage group financial consolidation and reporting process including the preparation of the group's monthly management and year end accounts.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the group's half year and full year financial reporting.
- Be a key point of contact and liaise with external audit teams.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly financial forecasts and annual strategic plans.
- Assist the reporting entities in their completion of their submissions to reporting tools (Hyperion).
- Produce the group's monthly management accounting pack and other monthly reporting packs issued to the board.
- Provide financial analysis of the group's financial results.
- Assess the impact of new accounting standards on the group.
- Ensure adherence to the group's financial policies by its reporting entities.
- Assist with other ad-hoc special financial projects as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant, with experience working within a Top 10 audit firm.
- Technically proficient in IFRS
- Extensive group consolidation experience gained working with global clients.
- Multi-currency knowledge.
- Strong communication skills to aid business partnering and stakeholder management.
