**About the Role**
The Examinations Team Leader role is a key part of our Examinations team, which sits within the Management Information Systems Dept.If you wish to be part of a team assisting learners to achieve their potential by providing academic departments and learnerswith key administrative services and advice, then this could be the perfect role as you’ll develop these skills, whilst working in a College that has been recognised as investing in staff development.
In this role you will contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality examinations service, including the registration, collation and management of all examinations, assessments and certification.You will work closely with academic and support staffto ensure an accurate and responsive service.
Main duties of the role will include;
- Being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team at the site at you are based, including the training and development of the team.
- To assist the Exams Manager in the Personal Development Reviews (PDR) of each team member.
- Work efficiently, effectively and collaboratively across College processing student examinations and assessment, being responsible for ensuring accuracy and validation of the data.
- Ensure a high degree of knowledge of all qualification, assessment and awarding organisations, keeping abreast of any changes that occur and advising colleagues as necessary.
Through a proactive, enthusiastic and customer focused approach you will help the College achieve our mission to lead innovation and skills within our communities.Your work will ultimately lead to a high quality, robust and informative examinations andassessment service plus positive development of the College reputation.
**You will**
**You will have proven experience in the same, or similar, type role within a successful examinations department. Working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues, to meet deadlines and deliver a high-quality service is essential. Therefore,you must have strong organisational, administrative and communication skills across all levels and methods.**
**You will need to have knowledge of JCQ regulations and individual awarding organisation guidelines including CSCS online testing rules and administration of this.**
**Possession of level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English is essential. To compliment your knowledge and experience you may also possess a vocationally relevant qualification at level 3 or above.**
**Department Info**
You will report to the Exams Manager, working within the Examinations team, which forms part of the Management Information Systems Dept. You will supervise a small team of Assistant Exams Officer/Exams Assistants and coordinator and manage operationallya team of Invigilators too.
You will work closely with the Exams Team Leaders on other college sites to ensure consistency across all our campuses and be able to support and assist one another where required.
