As a Barclays CLO/ ABS (CLO - collateralized loan obligation/ ABS - Asset-backed securities) Trader, you will be joining the Secondary Trading business. You will assist the Secondary Market Making Desk in growing revenue and managing BAU trading activities in Europe.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. **What will you be doing?**:

- Assisting the team in growing the desk PnL through execution of client orders/ trades, including BWIC (Bids Wanted in Competition)
- Supporting the BAU activities on the desk including but not limited to PnL flashing, trade management, daily and weekly commentaries
- Speaking with research analysts and coordinating house view between Sales/ Research, and trading and providing market color and trade ideas
- Developing relationships with clients
- Working closely with Sales on management of orders and providing regular briefs on key areas of focus for the Desk
- Assisting in hedging the book in a controlled but commercial manner, as well as liaising with Functions on operational errors
- Assenting analysis, modelling of cash flows and stress analysis to maximize commercial opportunities and protect revenue
- Working with infrastructure partners to maintain solid control environment
**What we're looking for**:

- Bachelor's Degree/ Master's Degree in economics, mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or data science (or equivalent)
- Solid, EQ, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas
- A collaborative approach coupled with a desire to provide exceptional client service
- Experience in Secondary Trading in an Investment Bank environment will be a plus
