Senior/principal Environmental Due Diligence

Job Introduction
We are looking to recruit a talented and hardworking Senior or Principal Environmental Due Diligence Consultant to join our ETS Division, delivering contaminated land, environmental, social and governance (ESG) and environmental, health and safety (EHS) due diligence assessments across the UK and internationally. We are flexible with location but your nearest local office may be our Newcastle facility.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver multiple time-critical project tasks or components, including managing both single-site projects and multi-site portfolios.
- Compile proposals that achieve clients’ goals.
- Manage a team of consultants, and potentially third party suppliers, to deliver projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Be responsible for interpreting project findings and delivering commercially-sound advice to clients in order for them to meet their investment objectives.
- Manage workload independently, as well as helping to manage junior team members’ workloads.
- Potential for line management responsibilities if necessary.
- Adhere to and model high Health and Safety standards, in line with Company procedures.
- Commitment to develop personal CPD.
- Minimum of 5 years environmental due diligence experience in the UK, including experience of project and client management.
- Ideally have some experience of ESG and EHS due diligence (not essential).
- Strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively and intuitively either alone or in a small team.
- Sound communication and personal effectiveness skills.
- An ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Flexibility as the role may require travel across the UK and overnight stays from time to time.
