Sheridan Maine is working on behalf of a dynamic organisation based in Southwest Dorset to recruit a talented and experienced Internal Financial Auditor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that values innovation, growth, and employee development.
**About the Role**:
As an Internal Financial Auditor, you will play a crucial role in the organisation's financial integrity and growth. This is a new and developing position that requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional. The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for, coordinate, and carry out financially linked internal audit activities. This includes designing and recommending best practices for financial control processes, adapting these processes in line with growth and the sometimes-fast pace of change.
**Your key responsibilities as the Internal Financial Auditor will include**:
- Create, uphold, and implement risk-based audit plans tailored to different audit needs.- Conduct comprehensive internal audit activities, covering every stage from planning and execution to drawing conclusions, and finally, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.- Design and recommend best practices for financial control processes.- Ensure audit actions are agreed and followed up in a timely manner.- Adapt financial processes in line with the organisation's growth and dynamic environment.- Identify and address weaknesses in controls to enhance overall financial governance.- Support senior finance leads in evolving scope and strategic initiatives.**To be considered for the position of Internal Financial Auditor, you will require the following skills and experience**:
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.- Some tax accounting experience would be beneficial but not essential.**Benefits**:
