Senior Residential Therapeutic Practitioner

**About The Role**:
As the Senior Therapeutic Practitioner in Therapeutic Services, you will be part of the Assessing and Healing Complex Trauma (AHCT) Multi - Disciplinary Service and will work directly within AHCT Residential homes. You will be a key part of our holistic therapeutic approach of working together, linking our Residential, Education, Fostering and Therapeutic Services together.
You will hold responsibility for regional Therapeutic Practitioners interventions and training in Residential Homes.
**Key tasks**
- Oversee Therapeutic Practitioners within your assigned region; supervising, distributing workload and monitoring progress to cover up to 10 homes.
- To ensure all compliance activity for TPs is understood and managed.
- Some travel to your assigned TPs and homes to enable strong working relationships and support the embedding of therapeutic principles.
- Help to develop and maintain understanding of the therapeutic philosophy and ethos necessary to enable all young people to heal from their diverse range of experiences of trauma.
- Work closely with the Therapeutic Development Manager and Learning and Development team to develop and maintain bespoke Compass therapeutic training across the community.
- Continuous inter-agency and multi-agency working.
- Linking directly with the Multi-Disciplinary Therapy Service to recognise the requirements for therapy for a young person and/or family, completing the Referral Forms and Process to ensure effective intervention and attending triage meetings for allocation of therapy.
- Fulfill Therapeutic Practitioner responsibilities as required to meet the needs of the service.
- Hours** - **Working Full Time hours are 37.5 hours per week and include one day till 8.00.
- Requirement ratio of TP Clinical work in home to Senior work is 50%. One Residential Home is fully managed in capacity of TP

**Requirements**:
- A Therapeutic qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of involvement with the Care System and the children we look after
- Understanding of systemic, psychodynamic, attachment, mental health and neurodiversity principles
- Experience of offering teaching, training and supervision
- Experience of group work with young people
- Experience of assessment in intervention
- Evidence of literary ability to Level 5/A level standard
- Knowledge of guidance and legislation in relation to the client group including safeguarding
- Ability to work within a multicultural framework
- Enthusiasm, resilience, passion, reflective and encouraging
- Understanding responsibilities in protecting your own health, safety and wellbeing and that of their colleagues and others
- Full Driving Licence and aptitude to travel and stay away from home on occasions
- Proven track record of delivering successful outcomes for children
