London's public bike sharing scheme is available 24/7, 365 days a year. There are more than 10,000 bikes and over 700 bike docking stations across London to help you get around quickly and easily. The scheme recently expanded to South West London so nowyou can saddle up anywhere from Shepherds Bush to Canary Wharf and Wandsworth Town to Camden Town. You will be the public face of Serco’s London Cycle Hire team in the community, representing the business in a very positive way and interacting with members of the public in a friendly and approachable manner.As a Battery Swap Operative your key responsibilitywill include being responsible the physical maintenance and battery swapping of our eBikes to ensure our customers get where they want to go. Other responsibilities where required include: - Supporting Cycle Hire Hubs when necessary across the scheme during morning & evening peak - Completing mobile triage of Cycle Hire fleet across the scheme - Collection of abandoned and damage bicycles as directed by the Control Centre - Providing assistance to the workshop on an adhoc basis to support workshop operations. You won’t be doing this alone either. Our team is made up of professional, friendly, and supportive teammates, including managers who began their careers with Serco as On Street and Redistribution Operatives who now hold Team Leader, Operations Manager andContract Manager titles. **What do i need to do the role?** We are dedicated to the ongoing development and career progression of our Multi-Skilled Operatives, with outstanding training opportunities made available to you, along with the chance to undertake additional qualifications.
