**School Attendance Officer**

**Location: Newcastle**

**Salary: £97 - £110 per day**

**Hours: 8 am - 4 pm**

**Start Date: Immediately**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Be a confident, determined, and caring person.
- Experience using SIMS, Bromcom or other school management information system.
- Have a positive and flexible approach to work.
- Experience of working with children and young people and their parents or carers.
- Be able to build rapport and engage with young people and family members.

**Job Role Responsibilities**:

- Produce a daily absence list for use in a fire call Monitor attendance, interpret statistical data to identify issues/patterns of non-attendance with individual students.
- Analyse and identify student absences and take appropriate action to support students back into school.
- Work with family members and outside agencies to promote and raise school attendance with identified students.
- Accurately input absences, including reasons for absences, onto SIMS.
- Be available for work Monday to Friday
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
- Have a fully checkable work history
