**Finance Administrator**
We are excited to offer an opportunity to become part of the Cynthia Spencer Hospice family in our fundraising team as our Finance Administrator.
This role is crucial for supporting our operations, where you will assist the Individual Giving & Finance Lead with various tasks such as the day-to-day accounting procedures, the management of the building and its maintenance and health and safety schedule, liaising with our IT management to oversee our systems, and assist with the inputting of data onto our CRM database.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Working on our day to day accounting procedures in an efficient and accurate manner, including preparing bank reconciliations, reviewing and processing purchase invoices, raising invoices, and regularly reconciling income recorded on our donor database and Sage.
- Perform the day to day requirements of the maintenance and health and safety programme for the buildings and facilities, including maintenance schedules, to support the Fundraising, Retail, and Administration teams in a safe and efficient work environment.
- Contribute to the management of our Conference Facility with the Charity Administration Assistant, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support in processing and acknowledging charitable donations, alongside handling sensitive and general correspondence under the guidance of the fundraising team.
- Collaborate with our administration volunteers, building positive relationships and a supportive environment.
- Provide telephone and reception support as needed.
**Experience Required**:
Proficiency in using Sage is essential, including tasks like creating bank reconciliations, entering purchase invoices, creating sales invoices, and posting journals.
Experience of monitoring and maintaining maintenance and health and safety recording systems and procedures.
Sound IT skills - including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel.
Experience in a charity organisation is preferred, but not essential.
Pay: £28,840.00 per year
