Purchasing Assistant
- Fast Growing Small Business - Baldock, Hertfordshire £25,000

Role: Purchasing Assistant/Logistics

Location: Baldock, Hertfordshire

**Salary**: £25k per annum

They are currently looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. The successful Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for purchasing all stock & outsourced products, managing costs and cash flow, managing the supply chain, managing supplier relationships and terms and ensuring accurate production data.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Purchasing assistant to join an exciting business who can match their passion and ambition.

Monday to Friday 0900-1700

Responsibilities include:

- Minimise cost production and other key costs of the company without reducing quality.
- Develop and implement company purchasing strategy.
- Own supplier relationship management, including sourcing new suppliers
- Manage purchasing function including forecasting and monitor / reduce procurement costs
- Work closely with Production and Goods In departments to identify requirements and recommendations
- Manage operations system data
- Have a track record working in purchasing, ideally with previous manufacturing experience.
- Good understanding of using Sage
- Have excellent category knowledge
- Have a hands-on approach with strong negotiation and admin skills.
- Good communication and organisation skills.
