Carry out and complete gas appliance installations (the majority of which are gas boiler installations) to Gas Safe and other recognised industry standards and CHP standards.Deliver the highest standard of work in a way that sustains high levels of performance, quality and customer satisfaction with a right first
- time approach. Proactively support CHP's expanding capability in the installation and repair of Air and Ground SourcePump heating systems. Ensure that an excellent customer focused approach and a right first-time service is delivered in line with agreed budgets and performance targets. Undertake gas heating engineering and plumbing duties relating to gas appliance installationsand associated works, adhering to manufacturer's instructions when installing appliances Undertake the domestic gas installation of new and existing domestic heating systems and related DHW cylinders and control in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions,Gas safety Installation and use regulations 1998 act., Part J, Part L and Part P of the building regulations and CDM regulations 2015. Identify defect as required under (GUSIP) unsafe situation procedures. Conduct technical gas installation surveys, heat losscalculations and gas or heating system inspections. Provide information to allow records to be updated following service and test and issue Landlord Gas Safety record using electronic or manual documentation. Manage stock from authorised suppliers, materialsrequired to undertake works through the approved order system. Take part in the on-call system to provide 24/7 emergency cover across CHP's property portfolio. Drive company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner and to ensure that the vehicle is maintainedto appropriate standards. Ensure that vehicles operated by the Heating Services team are operated in a safe and courteous manner and represent the company in a positive way to our customers and the general public. Use a PDA and mobile software to receive andrecord works, ensuring that all system administration is accurate, up to date, accessible and comprehensive, in line with CHP procedures, data legislation and regulations. Assist in ensuring the correct schedule of rates are booked for works carried out tomeet value for money targets. Conduct all work to comply with current health and safety (H&S) legislation and compliance policies, including manual handling, working at heights and asbestos awareness, with method statements and risk assessments undertakenwhere appropriate. Ensure the correct safety procedures are followed before using tools and equipment. Responsible for collaborating with the Planning and Logistics team to efficiently book or procure materials, plant, stock, tools and equipment required,ensuring timely delivery or collection as appropriate, as well as safe custodianship of all items.
