This resource would act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, business units and risk division counterparts on the delivery of complex regulatory compliance matters and governance issues to ensure we maintain an appropriate second line of defence.The Xenia Compliance & Risk Officer would also be able to add value by promoting an appropriate compliance culture for our global business through the provision of client and corporate communications, face-to-face training and other learning mechanisms.

Xenia was formed through the union of two long-standing specialist credit insurance brokers, Credit Risk Solutions (CRS) and Credit & Business Finance (CBF) acquired in 2017 and 2019 respectively. The combining of these independent and entrepreneurial businesses,including the Howden Trade Credit team acquired in 2020, positioned Xenia as one of the largest credit insurance brokers in the UK. In 2021 Xenia Broking Group expanded even further by completing four acquisitions - Credit Insurance Alliance (Brokers), StatusCredit Insurance Brokers Ltd, Parker Norfolk & Partners Ltd and Peter Hill Credit & Financial Risks making Xenia the largest independent trade credit and surety insurance broker in the UK.

Preferred profile for the successful Compliance & Risk Officer:

- 5+ years of compliance experience in the insurance, ideally Broking market
- Strong knowledge of the FCA handbook and FCA published papers
- Good working knowledge of the current regulatory environment
- Excellent understanding of the general insurance and broking industry
- Ability to find pragmatic compliant solutions to business queries
- Ability to build trust by operating with integrity and professionalism
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks within a high-pressured environment, including working to tight deadlines
- High attention to detail in producing a quality output, accurate record keeping
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships
