Assistant Greenkeeper

The Bristol Golf Club is a 18 hole championship, 9 Hole par 3 and floodlit driving range complex.

Midway through 2021 The Bristol was taken under new ownership, which has already lead us into a very exciting time for the club with onward investment in the facilities, machinery and progression of the staff via recognised industry qualifications. The vision for the new owners is to progress the club to a higher level and promote ourselves as lead in class.

Located just off the M5, Junction 17, The Bristol is in a position offers a great opportunity to work with an experienced team to deliver the golf course to the highest level.

We are recruiting for either Trainee Greenkeeping or Assistant Greenkeeper to join our Greenkeeping team to assist with work on our golf course and to ensure the golf course is presented to the highest standard. This is a physically demanding role which requires working outdoors in all weather condition.

Main Responsibilities:

- To assist the Greenkeepers in their daily activities on the course as required
- Strimming, weeding, bunker works and edging bunkers, digging areas and other general maintenance and refurbishment tasks
- Driving tractors, mowers and general greenkeeping machinery
- To carry out general maintenance of the golf course grounds as required
- To use and maintain all machinery in a professional manner
- To report any equipment requiring maintenance or repair
- To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- To ensure all work is completed to a high standard
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

- Be able to work as part of a team
- Previous experience working in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, with full training and education available.
- Flexible approach
- Enjoy working outdoors
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday with rotational work at weekends and holidays

**Experience**:

- Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence and have your own car. (preferred)
